This article offers a straightforward examination of the firmware screens, concisely presenting the customization options and settings of Dragonet PRO
By pressing the button at the top right of the main screen you will find the machine SETTINGS, divided into two pages. Here a brief description to give you a comprehensive idea of what you can do with Dragonet PRO:
Scrolling with the arrow at the bottom right, you can access the second page, where you’ll find:
The first screen that appears allows you to select the number of shots. Thanks to the “+” and “-” buttons you can choose the number of balls you want to hit during your training session.
By clicking on the arrow at the bottom, you access the second screen, where you can choose the type of shot between:
If you choose “Both sides” the system will open another screen where you can select the desired forehand-backhand ratio.
Immediately afterwards you can choose the height of the trajectory between:
In succession you can also select for your session:
The last page appearing is the Summary, which will give you an outline of all the selected settings. If you want to change something, just click on the desired parameter.
In QUICK mode the screens that will appear are the same as those previously listed in the PRO setup. However, after selecting height of trajectory a different screen will appear.
In fact, you can select the LEVEL, which independently manages spin and playing distance.
Once the frequency has also been selected, the Summary screen will appear, which precedes the start of the training session.
By selecting the QUICK mode, unlike the PRO one, the concept of Level is introduced. This replaces the spin and distance parameters, managing and regulating them independently in a range from 0 to 9. The closer you get to the maximum, the more the rotation and power of the ball will increase.
This parameter is used to set the rotation of the ball in ten levels of intensity, starting from a light backspin ball up to a very aggressive topspin.
These are our recommended settings for three specific ball types that can be useful for both padel and tennis players:
Backspin: 0 SPIN, 4 DISTANCE
Flat: 0 SPIN, 1 DISTANCE
Topspin: 5 SPINS, 3 DISTANCE
This parameter allows you to choose the playing distance, which can always be set in 10 different settings, from 0 to 9. The type of ball chosen (orange, mid, standard tennis or padel ball) and the wear will obviously influence how the machine will launch the ball. In general, the minimum is 4 meters while you can manage to reach up to 8-9 meters as a maximum.
These are examples that show the difference in playing distance, even using different types of balls:
DISTANCE 0
DISTANCE 3
DISTANCE 8
This parameter is used to set the launch frequency, therefore determining how often the machine will shoot a ball. The most intense frequency is 1.8 seconds and can go up to 10 seconds between one shot and another. Using the “+” and “– “buttons, the frequency can be increased or decreased by 0.2 seconds.
Here we can see the differences by setting the frequency differently:
THROW RATE 1.8
LAUNCH RATE 3.0
THROW RATE 5.0
On this screen it will be possible to choose which shot to make, thus determining the direction of the ball. You can choose between:
Once the “Both Sides” parameter has been selected, you can choose the relationship between forehand and backhand. Once the setting has been decided, the machine will launch the ball left and right based on the choice made.
In this section you can choose how high Dragonet PRO will launch the ball. Being equipped with automated vertical movements, there will be no need to position the appropriate support to adjust the bouncing plate.
Dragonet Pro is able to record the number of shots taken within its system via a special integrated counter. To access this function, simply follow these simple steps:
